Castro Valley

Climbing the gently rolling foothills of the East Bay, Castro Valley retains the flavor of a semi-rural community, yet is only minutes from San Francisco and Oakland.

The area rich with recreational opportunities, from Anthony Chabot Park with bike paths, boating, camping, equestrian trails, a 315 acre lake, fishing, and an 18 hole golf course. And even more offerings… The Golden Tee Golfland with video arcade, two courses and a party area; Earl Warren Park, Carlos Bee Park and more. Castro valley also boasts The Castro Village Bowl.

Castro Valley is proudly home to some 10,000 Eichler homes. Many consider these unique, mid-century modern homes to be collectible. Castro valley homes include historic, vintage homes from the ’40’s, and new construction, ranging from 1940’s to current.

Castro Valley students are served by the Castro Valley Unified School District. The district offers a preschool, six elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school. There are also several private and parochial schools nearby. Adobe Art Gallery promotes and encourages visual and fine arts within the district.
